The 2021 Marc de Montalembert grant is awarded to Gabriele Langosco, from Italy for his project “ Scultura genovese. Rotte mediterranee nell’età di Fillippo II ”, The project intends to carry out a study of the export of Genoese marble sculptures to the Iberian and Mediterranean centers where the main routes converged at the time of Philip II (1556-1598). The research will be carried out mainly in Spain. The grant was due to be presented on the annual opening day of the Foundation in Rhodes. This event had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.
